Martin Luther King Jr:

Martin Luther King Jr. led marches for African American's right to vote, to end desegregation, among other civil rights. At 35 years old, he was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. King was the first President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. In 1963, Dr. King led what was known as the March on Washington where he delivered arguably his most famous speech of all time; the "I have a dream" speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. He believed the path to equality and desegregation was paved with nonviolence and love. Dr. King was instrumental in the ratification of the 24th Amendment and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
